Novatel Wireless' MiFi(TM) 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot is a mobile broadband device that creates a personal cloud of high-speed Internet connectivity that can be easily shared between multiple users and Wi-Fi devices or used by a single user as a USB-connected 3G modem. iPass has adapted the Novatel Wireless' consumer-oriented MiFi to be 'plug and play' for the enterprise user. The iPass MiFi devices are factory-configured with customer-specific SSID and security keys and configured into the customer's iPassConnect(TM) mobility manager software. This guarantees a secure connection and eliminates user or IT set-up requirements. The IT manager is given visibility and control over usage, policies and asset protection through the advanced reporting that comes with the iPass Management Portal.
